Need to run the VIN on this '89 K5 kennyw's checking out for me.:D:cool1:

I'll let you know. I guess the guy had to go out of town so kenny can't go until Monday or so.

Jus remember carfax dont report everything and/or quickly. I talked to a wholesaler once and he said it could take a year for insurance to get info to carfax. a vehicle can change hands several times b4 someone gets wind of what really happened. Just dont rely on it, look a vehicle over really well for all the signs of being in water and damage, etc.

Yeah, I know. Just good to at least be able to say, "well, if anything happened it never made it onto all the stuff that CarFax can check."

There are situations were stuff doesn't make it into all the records CarFax checks...but they aren't the norm.

You cannot trust carfax reports, I used to sell cars @ a dealership, and we used to get off lease cars from nissan and I can't tell you how many of them had clear carfax reports and had obviously had major body work that was easy to pick out if you took a few minutes to look!!! Buyer beware always.

I know your deal is done :wink1:

But as far as carfax not having info on damage to cars.. if it's unreported, it's unreported. That's why in most states, accidents are required to be reported to the state, and if you don't you face license suspension.. and driving while suspended in one state is the same driving while suspended in the other 49 :wink1:

Yep. It's rarer for a car to have had an accident and not have it reported than to have one get in an accident and get reported. However that's all you ever hear about from folks.

I have ran quite a few reports for people, hope someone can return the favor this time. We are helping a widow'd friend sell her husband's truck, and no one printed the report when we ran it a few months ago :doah:

Thanks guys!

Eh, not that I can think of. Nevermind I reckon. :D I just figured people usually block out their plates....

Haha, yah. Which is also dumb cause everyone driving down the street can see it :haha:

I guess if you don't want any way for someone to track down your vehicle location online or some crap......it is a good idea. But i never worry about it. :D
