Help, welder needed! Anyone in So. California, San Fernando Valley area or near, want to repair a crack in the frame behind the steering box and install a weld on brace? I dont expect anyone to do it for free. I just need to get this done. If anyone can do it or knows someone that can let me know. I Want to get this done so I can finish the rest. Local shops are asking way too much money, 4 wheel parts. Thanks, Ernie

*start of hijack* I could use one too, for some little stuff. I also have a 220 connection, so maybe we could get together at my house, if Ernie doesn't have one - and if he can move his rig. I'm in Sunland *end of hijack*

I would be willing to help, it would be nice if you could come to bellflower to do this stuff. I dont want no money but pizza, beer or of the sort would be nice. Also bring some weld rod for my arc, it can get expensive depending upon who and how much welding needs to be done.

My brother is in Simi Valley, I am sure he would hook you up reasonably. If you want me to call him let me know.

How far are you from Modesto? I have a service truck with an onboard welder, air, torch, electricity, crane, and all my tools... I might be interested.

First of all thanks to everyone that has posted to help me. I do have a 220 volt outlet. I would prefer someone to come to my house to do it since the truck is on jackstands and the gear box is removed currently but if it is not convenient for anyone to come to my house then I will find a way to tow it to my house. I will gladly pay or help anyone with anything they need, pizza, beer, arc rods anything I know time is valuable. I would like to get this done ASAP. I would really love to attend TDS in March. This is my new goal. Thanks.

OH GEEZ!!! look who's here......

did you get that shop done yet:p:

The new shop is in progress. I ran into a Title-24 snag at Building and safety today that I have to straighten out before they will take my permit application.
