I have a bunch of duplicate sockets and I am missing a bunch of sockets. Is anyone else in the same boat? Most of them are Snap-on a few are Mac, Cornwell, etc. No Craftsman, only the good stuff. They are hex bits, torx bits, deep, shallow, weatherhead, 1/4" dr, 3/8" dr, 1/2" dr, etc. If anyone is interested I'll post a list of what I have and what I need. It seems like it would be cheaper to ship them USPS them to buy new ones. ...or am I an Idiot?

I have been a little, but with shipping it's often cheaper to buy them new. Some people will charge $7.99 + $8 shipping for a used socket that is $15 off the truck. Even if they are not trying to rip you off, usually for a couple bucks I'd rather get new ones. But if I trade, 1st class shipping is only a $1 or so for a couple sockets and it's a win-win for both parties.

I would highly recommend spending the money for UPS, better tracking and everything is automatically insured for atleast $100. I don't believe USPS offers the ability to track a package, only give you verification of reciept. Also, 1st class mail usually gets there in 3 days but they will not guarantee that.

That said... post up a list of what you've got, that'll spark more interest.

I have bought and sold a lot of stuff on ebay and the only time anything has been lost was because of poor packaging. The package has always arrived. The sockets I have are all duplicates. For what I have saved in shipping over the last five years I can afford to lose something (and, no, not an invitation for mail fraud!). If I spend $6-8 on shipping and go to the trouble of shipping them I might as well buy them off the truck. I appreciate people trying to help out. No offense to anyone but I am well aware of the methods of shipping and the risks, the ins and outs of ebay, etc. Is anyone interested in trading or am I the only one? If anyone is interested I'll compile a list.
