it's an early model with the external hubs, I just have the pieces to convert my 1/2 ton axles to 8 lug and they're not installed yet(so I can't measure). I'm ordering some custom backspace rims for the rear to even out the front and rear footprint.

i'd make them all the same backspacing so you wont have to worry about the spare not fitting any of them. and i think if the back spacing is the same frt and rear the tires will be pretty close to bein lined up.

the spare will still fit regardless, the spare is normally backspaced. The custom rims I'm ordering are for the rear not the front, I just need to know the width of the front. GM rear axles are all skinnier than the fronts, thats why alot of people go with 14bff's from the one ton vans because they are wider than the truck 14bff's.
