Might be easier to get in touch with him at the Echobit Forums
when i first read these posts i was shocked! After a little digging though, i found the source of most of these concerns originated when i switched hosting providers and my mx records were not configured correctly (unknown catch all address). If you emailed me and i didn’t respond, its because i didn’t get it. You can find more info on the echoboard later today.
First off, echobit has a tech support message forum available to everyone (even anonymous so you don’t have to be a member). While i'm a member of ck5, i haven't logged on in a good long time and would never have known these concerns had someone here not gone over to the echoboard and posted regarding this thread.
Mike: I'm behind on a lot of orders and yours is no exception. Recent fire events here in socal have caused even longer delays. Some of the larger items like dwarfs wrap bar had priority in getting finished up, and had several revisions made before it shipped. I am willing to work with you to get your order out but keep in mind everyone wants it yesterday, not just you so i have to take them in the order i receive them.
Dwarf: Your wrap bar shipped yesterday. I wrote you several times regarding the delays. The first was because one of the wrap bars in use had a failure and i wanted to make sure yours included any changes that may need to be made as a result - and you agreed (but didn’t make any mention to this in this post). I didn’t want to send you the revised bar until it had been tested and expected to get the results back from the field the day i gave you the tracking number. When i didn’t hear back from the results i sent you another email saying i was holding off the drop-off until i heard back from the other bar. I heard back yesterday that all was good, and the bar was dropped off. I would think you would be happy that i made sure you had the latest and greatest as well as something that was pre-testing and not using you as a guinea pig - i don’t do business that way. I'm not sure who you are calling, but my phone is not and has never been disconnected - you should always be able to get at least the recording. I have not however been around to get the phone since its not in the shop or at any of my contract sites.
Its a sad state of affairs but the big reason i'm dropping so many of my in-house fabricated 69-91 chevy blazer parts is because people in this market either cant afford to or wont put the money toward custom gear that all the other makes and models do. I did everything i could to cut the price down to what was affordable for the masses by eliminating almost all of my overhead including web/phone support as well as my bottom line. These types of constraints lend to production delays, which in turn causes posts like this. Your going to find it harder and harder to get cool custom stuff for these trucks as more and more companies like myself reach this bottom line and discontinue the parts. I'm not going out of business, but i am beginning to cater more toward the newer chevy, ford and jeep custom stuff since the parts are in higher demand and provide a much higher profit margin which allows me more room to give back with employees and support. Take advantage of the custom stuff while you can because people like tonyp and jkw offroad wont be making these parts forever if they don't make enough off them to sustain.
For the rest of you who may have questions on orders, please come over to the echobit message forum with questions until i can work out my email issues. I just spent 3 hours on the phone with my provider gathering information on what needs fixing. Thanks.
