anyone near king of the hammers please read

Darn it, one of the brotherhood needs to have problems on this side of the country. I feel left out because I can't help.

Of course, I couldn't help out in this particular case unless I could find one over at that guy's house, but I still feel useless.

Hope you get it going, and we need the particulars on how they broke the case, after everything is over.

With pics, of course.........

Facebook seems to indicate that he blew up a rear driveshaft or rear driveshaft u-joint or something along those lines, taking out the trans with it.

Front driveshaft let go at the CV on the front output of the t case. The driveshaft took out our transmission housing and deep sump pan, transfer case shifter cables, battery cables for the winch, and a bunch of breather vent lines.

We are in Yucca right now collecting the breather lines and new battery cables for the winch. Another group of guys are getting t case shifter cables and a third group is dealing with the trans.

I'll post up and let folks know where we are at by the end of the day.

Thanks for all the support guys! Beyond impressed!

D*mn, Bet that was noisy!

Hope the engine is OK.
If it did enough damage to the pan, it could have dumped the oil fast enough to cause some starvation problems.

Sounds like you got a good crew on it though.

I tell ya from personal experience, the CK5'ers absolutely rock.
I've been offered so much help on the Maiden, at home and in Moab its unbelievable how members are willing to help. Rock on brothers!

Sweet. I'll take the 400 out of the back of the wife's truck and put it back on the shelf then!

See you Saturday!

Got her all put together, went out to do some pre running and ran into more trouble with the transmission again. We are gonna limp it through tech this morning and hope no one notices that we have no reverse or 3rd gear and will be tearing the transmission out immediately afterwards.

We have a new transmission on the way, and parts to rebuild the old one. Should have it fixed this afternoon / night for the race tomorrow.
