Don't know if it will help, but I just had my th400 built. I'm not going to be using it for some time. If you know someone heading down from Sac, I could get it there.

The trans is good we just need a new case to put internals in
I'm workin on gettin one right now. If not. Take all the decals off and put them on Horton!!!!
I just let him know I've got a rebuilt one sitting here, it's for my doubler install this summer, but if it comes to it, we can work something out. I've got a few other calls out to locals here for just a case, but haven't heard anything back yet.
I dont have a transmission to offer and Im no where near Johnson valley but I think it is awesome how people will go out of their way to offer help to other members who they may have never even met. Even offering their parts for their build without worry of how or when they will get paid.
Ive had a member I just met haul a truck 40 miles to my house when my trailer had issues without accepting any additional payment and it is truly awesome when someone helps you out like that.

I have a line on one also. The team I am helping this weekend is leaving tonite and has room for the tranny. I just need the guy to call me so I can pick it up and get it on the trailer. But, it has to be a K case and I don't know yet if it is.

I've got a 700R4 with problems sitting in my barn in a wheelbarrow that I would give you, but I'm several thousand miles away, and you are being so picky........
I'd help if I were closer. I think I know where one is that we could get for a couple of six packs and some work.
We would have to wait for him to drink the six packs and go to sleep, but after that it would be ours.
But by the time you could get here, pull it out and get back, I suspect it would be moot.

If you were back in Idaho I do have a TH400 out of my CUCV that needs a rebuild so Im sure the case would be fine.

Yeah, I knew he needed a 400, I was saying the only thing I have handy is an R4. But he is being so picky about it having to actually fit.........
The guy I know has dozens of trucks and junk in his back yard, and is usually either drunk or high most of the time.
Many years ago, just before Christmas, we were packing to head to the camp, and one of the guy's Chevys started knocking.
No chance of getting anyone to work on it on Christmas Eve, so we tackled it ourselves.
Turned out that the little half ball that the rocker arm pivots on had cracked half in two on one cylinder.
Everything else was fine. We remembered that this guy, actually a cousin of the guy whose truck was broken, had several GMs in his yard.
Couple of the guys headed over with tools to see if they could borrow that part.
He was asleep in the front room on the floor, and they could not wake him. So, they pulled one off of a truck that had been sitting there so long with the hood up a small oak tree was growing up past the engine.
Put it on, truck ran great. We all figured when we saw him next, we would tell him and offer to pay what it was worth, but months went by and we forgot.
A year later, almost to the day, we were packing up to head to the camp again, and he came driving up in one that actually ran.
Wanted to know if we had seen anyone around his place. Seems someone had snuck in and stolen a part off one of his main DDs. We told him no, and meant it.
We had forgotten what we had done. One of the guys remembered, but there was no way it could be that truck, so he didn't bother to mention it.
He assured us that it has just happened, because he had cranked it up and driven it just a couple of days before.
We told him we would keep an eye out, and he started to leave. I was curious, and asked him what they had stolen.
Rocker arm, he said. Fortunately he did not notice the stunned looks we all got when we remembered what we did a year before.
Bout a week later, I drove by, and the oak tree was still there..........
So, I suspect that if he has a K case 400 in one, I doubt he would miss it. Even if he did, a case of beer would buy it, I'm quite sure.

I'm sure you guys have this sorted out by now but if not I have a th400 out of a k30. Its already pulled and sitting in my garage and I don't need it.

I have a th400 in my backyard in hollister out of a 3/4 ton 4wd suburban. Your more than welcome to it if anyone wants to grab it on the way. Although as Avery said you probably already have this worked out 
Darn it, one of the brotherhood needs to have problems on this side of the country. I feel left out because I can't help.
Of course, I couldn't help out in this particular case unless I could find one over at that guy's house, but I still feel useless.
Hope you get it going, and we need the particulars on how they broke the case, after everything is over.

ive got the 400 that i pulled from my 89 3/4 ton suburban up here in vegas. i dont have any way of getting it there but you guys can use it if needed.
