I want to run 350/700r4/NP205/5.13's with 36" (Q78-16 Swampers). Truck weighs in at 5300lbs. Anyone not happy with a similar drivetrain? I know most of you run with a low of 2.7:1 in the NP208/241'srather than the 2:1 I'll have with the 205 tc. I'm asking because some shops have told me I will not be happy with the poor offroad performance with such a combo. They state I will lack power offroading (mud/snow). Just verifying with you guys what your experiences have been with this setup.
THanks

Poor offroad performance? HAHA! That's the best it can get unless you feel like putting a NP241 in there.

You won't have any problems with power. Mine with a 700/241/4.56's had more than enough power to do what I wanted. Your truck should scream with 5.13's in it.

i got 350/700r4/241 with 4.56 also and ran 36x12.50's at badlands no problems at all, plenty of power in 4 low it'd spin all 4 if u gased it on anything short of pavement plenty of torque

im running 350/700r4/np241/5.13s on 36" iroks :)

its pretty tight, i really like it, and highway isint too bad either. i was suprised i was getting up to 75 pretty easy

is there anoher gear ratio? gimme 513s or gimme death.

If that's what they said, don't go back to that shop. What do they suggest a 572/NV4500/3:1NP203/3:1NP205/D60&70w/7.17s ? Or is this a jeep shop and you'll be wrong no matter what you do with a K5?

meh, jeeps are never worth spit unless you put all chevy stuff under them.

anyway, my rig spins 39.5s with a 700R4/205/4.56s just fine. Yes, I wanted more gear... but you'll have it with 5.13s. Since I am swapping a th400 in, I'm gonna go doubler too... need a good crawl ratio for technical stuff and the 400s 1st gear kinda sucks.

Currently 700r/241/3.08/35" talk about a dog off of the line
by christmas 700r/241/4.56(one tons)/39.50" Rockers

Eventually 700r/241/5.13/39.50"

My rig has a tired TBI 350 and spins 39.5's just fine with a 700/241/4.56 combo.

Thanks for the replies guys. Ok, I'm going to do it. I was asking this because I'm putting a 350/700r4/NP205 and 5.83's (yes 5.83's) into an M37 and run Q78-16 Swampers. For a pic of what I'm building, except in military green.

I was told by an M37 rebuilder that people who in the past went with this powertrain combo were never happy with the vehicle performance. I really couldn't see why it was not a good combo, but you guys verified it should work well.
THanks
