Anyone used tahoe 54" rears up front instead of the standard 52/56's? If my wiskey thinking is right it would just mean moving the front perch and no messing with the rear. Someone on pirate is running the setup but I can not find pictures of just the mounts

my springs measure a little over 53" from eyelet to eyelet (they are rears out of a k5 but i think with the amount of lift, they are a little bit longer), does that count. And at first i moved the rear shackle mount forward but this buried my spring into the frame, so i moved it back into the stock location and i have a decent shackle angle now. I will post up some pics later when i get home.

Well Im running 52's with a homemade multi mount on the front and with the spring being in the rear most hole I am still running the stock rear mount and my axle sits in the stock location.

What year Tahoe's do the springs come in? Im looking to get another set of springs, Ive got one sagging.

From the little research I have done they came in 90's 2 doors. I will measure my parents 1999 4 door next time I am out at there place.

K5 Krawler I would be very interested in seeing pics of your setup. I am trying to get a little more flex then my stiffass 4" lift springs. I have already pulled a leaf but they are still pretty stiff, longer springs seems to be the next logical step

when you do measure, measure spring eye to center pin as well. i'm interested also :thumb:

ok, here is a pic of the springs with the shackle hanger moved from stock to a more forward position (pretty common with stock 52's, like in JEK's write up on the home page) and i also ran the b-52's in the forward most position on the frame and the front spring bolt in the forward most hole. as you can see the rear part of the spring is buried in the frame.

i dont have a great current picture, but i moved the rear shackle hanger back to the stock location, kept the b-52's in the forward most position on the frame and move the front spring bolt back one hole towards the rear. the shackle angle is a ton better, but might not be ideal for some people.

most recent of front mounts:

kinda hard to see the shackle but these are the best i have. Let me know if you need any other shots:

I just measured my parents 4dr '99 tahoe and it has 54" springs with the center pin in the center 27" on either side

k5 krawler where is your front mount about where it would be if you just moved the stock mount like the write up? of farther forward?

I'm actually not too sure, its hard to say.. but what i can do is pull some measurements tomorrow afternoon when i get home from work..
