Anyone Running Electric Cooling Fan(s)??

[ QUOTE ]
Flex-a-lite controller summit part #FLX-30331 is all you need it has the relays built in with a temp probe that turns your fan on and off at a selectable temp setting from 160-240 degrees I have one for my $40 junk yard duel fans and it works great. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

[/ QUOTE ] That is the controller that came with my flex a lite fans, it has an A/C relay too!

So at what temperature are you having your fans come "on" and go "off" at? My fans run constantly from 195 and never get it cool enough to shut off. I believe that is partialy because my thermostat is a 195 also and thats why my fans will never cool past that.

Looking for some info about fans coming on and off automaticaly. Not talking about anyone, but talking to anyone that can give me some info. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Any of the GM fan switches (Buick GN fan switch from approx. '87 is supposedly quite low, like 200* off temp) should have a on/off temperature range.

Napa's Echlin catalog is awesome to look at for things like fan temp switches, as they typically list thread pitch, application, wiring, and operating temps IIRC.

[/ QUOTE ]Mine stay on all the time basically because I have them set at 190* and my engine refuses to run any cooler than about 200*. Sometimes they do cycle and they come on at 60% power and increase fan speed as the temp rises.

How much CFM do the taurus and windstar fans pull? Am I correct in that a stock fan pulls about 3600 CFMs?
