Just bought a buddy a Flowmaster one chamber delta flow muffler for his birthday.

I have dual 40 series on my K5 with headers and it sounds great. How much different do one chambers sound?

Is his Dodge 318 with manifolds, catalictyc converter, and the one chamber going to be stupid loud or not bad?

It will be a little loud but not unbearable I had a one chamber with no cat on my burb with 3" single exhaust I thought it sounded pretty good especially under loud

Well with the truck still having a cat it should be just right, I think he will be happy.

Thanks.

flows just plain sound good. One chambers especially.

But remember the closer you put the muffler to the cat the more raspy it'll sound, the farther away the deeper it'll sound.

oh yeah rjf... where did you get your dual angle tinkle ports and blinker fluid... I could really use some quality upgrades like those.:D

I have a 1 chamber flow. It was the only thing that fit with the setup I wanted and a cat (CA). I think it is a little quieter than the dual chamber I replaced it with not sure why. I did not tell the GF I had to get the single chamber and she liked it better "smoother and quieter". May be it was mounted back farther or the new high flow cat but I like it. It is a lot louder above 3000 rpms though.

i run single chamber flowmasters and they are loud much louder then the duals that i had before
