The 1-ton posers are the ones making the d60 and C-14bff prices rise /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Yeah, I never could figure it out. A truck sits at a car show, or sema, or whatever, never goes off road, and gets trailered to all the shows, and 80% don't have front driveshafts. Why do they need a 60? Leave the 60's to people who need them!

So then why do you guys whine and complain when a show truck has dual 10B and make comments about the owner being an idiot for it still being 1/2 ton. Make up your mind...quit whining about 1/2 show trucks or quit whining when you see a D60 under them. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Think again, the actual number of front D60's that are under show trucks are probably very slim vs. The number under hardcore wheelers and the original trucks that they come factory under. 14BFF's are dirt cheap. 100 bucks can get you any decent 14BFF around here. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Yeah it's slim, thanks for the correction. Around here it's near impossible to find a d60 or 14bff at all. Small towns suck /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

If none have you have realized, you can order a D60 in peices.Take the rock crusher centersection, the crane knuckles, some hubs, order some axletubes from the local steel shop, there you go, the rest of the parts you'd be rebuilding or upgrading anyway, may as well have the ultimate 60 anyway. 35 spline throughout, new joints and brakes, 1350 yoke, new gears and locker, all new seals, new wheelstuds..... uhm, not much left besides perches and shockmounts. And you can custom make widths and angles and whatnot....

RJF, thanks for not hogging a 60 /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I would do that, or could, but I dont have the slightest clue about what parts to get and how to put it together, that's why I was asking about companies with rebuilt axles for sale.

Yeah, Im dead. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Is there like a book I can read on axle parts and how to rebuild them? Then I can get a old rusty one, and make it into a nice, black, rebuilt one /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well, what's that, $1200 more than your Boyce? And it's ALL new. I know Shaggs put a LOT into his 60. And they're both without fancy knuckles or centersections.

Didn't get mine from Boyce plus mines an ultra rare 79 hp 60, not a gm 60... Anyway, mine was $2900 completely rebuilt with 5.13's. My GM 60 was $800 complete, needing rebuild though.
