anyone use this exhaust?

I have 3" but it's a little much for what little motor i got. I'd say go with 2 1/2 cause i had 2 1/4 and that was just tooo small

Did you look at the installations PDF? Probably will give you a good idea on just how much pipe there is.;)

yeah, i just looked at it. should be plenty for what i need. i went ahead and oredered it. $211 shipped to my door :D. ill let everybody know how it turns out. should be a nice kit

It is a nice kit, but I had to buy about 7' of straight pipe.
There is some welding involved to make it fit. I had to cut and weld both S bends so they wouldn't hit the floor or the frame. I also had to have some pipe bent. I had to remake the support rod that goes between the bellhousing and the transfer case.

I installed it on an 86 short bed with a big block with Hooker headers, TH400, and NP205. I used Magnaflow Super Turbo Mufflers and no cats. I stopped just over the axle. I have a lot of bends left that I didn't use. Enough to make another exhaust system.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Mike

wow.. im supprised that you had to buy more tubing. hopefully i wont have to since a blazer is shorter than a p/u, not by much tho. even if i have to buy a few feet, its still worth the money. i have a welder and everything, so im not worried about that part.

actually dude, i am doing it right. and actually, i do need 3" duals. i work at a garage where the owner builds drag cars that have won multiple seasons (im talkin low 8 and high 7 quarter cars), and he said to go atleast 3" duals, so thats what im doin. your 2.5" duals are fine for a stock small block or very mildly modded, but any kinda real power will take bigger. especially turboed, you want the least ammount of resistance possible after the snails:wink1:

I hate the "thats too much exhaust for your engine" comments.
My 77 has true dual 3" with magna flows and 24x4" chrome tips. It sounds like a big block and at certain speeds it feels like your chest is gunna explode. It flows so well that the chrome tips have started to "blue" like a harley. My engine? is a mild build 350hp-375hp MAYBE, small block.

People tell me all the time I should have went with single 3". I love it. Its not real loud just DEEP.

exactly how i think. mine will be true 3" duals also. it comes with and H pipe assy, but i dont think im giona use it.
