anyway to mount a gun rack in blazers?

so, I have my rear side panels removed, since I lined the interior with bedliner...

I am looking for something to mount along the "bed sides" that will hold just one shotgun on each side for when I am out dove hunting.

do you think I could use these, and just put self tapping screws in the holes where the suction cups go? They would mount just above the wheel wheels and run along the inner wall of the bed

suction cup gun rack from cabelas

or these

clamp fists

fits nice between seat and console, don,t mine the blanket seat was wet

Here is my setup, might not be practical but just gives a different look to mounting a gun

i have this setup that came on a blazer i bought a while back. i took them out and they are sitting in the garage. If you want them shoot me a PM and i will give them to ya for the price of shipping. new pics posted. they need a little cleaning up but i have no use for them. I have a carry permit and anything larger than my pistol are stored in boxes in the back with locks.

they are part metal and slide out the little ends tuck under the window rubbers. a little silicone to lube them and it slips right in. the holder arms are kinda rubberized.

Dieselndixie has first dibs as he PMed me first. (edit. still up for grabs if someone wants to pay shipping.)

No Problem. i haven't had a blazer with sliding windows so i couldn't tell ya one way or another. Same offer goes for anyone else that wants them. First come first serve.

I have the same shotgun lock out of a police car, however I am putting it low acroos the floor behind the front seats. You have a hidden switch to release the lock? Is it on a timer as well or just unlock until you close it?

heres the cucv mounts.

Does that lock the rifle in from getting ripped off? I like the design, and I could do a vertical shotgun/AR combo lock set up like that. The windows are tinted so you couldn't see in and see whats there.

No, it secures them so they can't fall out unless you are truly beating on the truck but they do not lock them in for security. The military's solution for that would be to use a cable and a padlock or combo lock.

I ordered a set of these mounts:woot:, from www.sportsmansguide.com about 6-7 years ago. They were brand new complete with the GI instructions. Don't know if they still have them or not, but I would guess any surplus place would have them. They were less than $20 at the time.

I've got a set of those in a 1028 I may have to pull out and reuse. I always thought thats why they were there but I never was sure.

I just use the cuff key. It has the wires for the quick release but I havent hooked them up, doubt I will. When you press the button, it unlocks the rack for 10seconds.
