I need to get some mag/ shank style lug nuts for the old school huricane time. I think the correct size is 7/16-20. Are mcguards any good?

They are one of the best you can get. The ones I purchased were solid chrome. They are a quality item and made in the USA. Check out Summit Racing if you are looking for a place to get them.

Yup they are good stuff. I think the chrome is lifetime warr. I need a set for my Hurricane`s also.

x3...The chrome is only a plating, and the ones I've used, I have never had the chrome chip or flake off, yes very good stuff!

Random thought but check with your local NAPA. They have a line or two of real, all chromed lug nuts. Not sure if they have the size/style you want but it'd probably be cheaper than the McGuard's.

Good call on the McGuards. They came in and are super nice. Much better then the cheap stuff I find at the old Shucks Auto parts store.

I had McGaurds on my old man's K25 but 4 of them broke off before reaching torque. I left the rest of them on, but I wasn't set on replacing them with the same after that. I ended up buying some Gorilla's to replace the broken ones and I can't tell the difference. To be fair, these were 9/16 mag lugs so they were pretty thin anyway so the break didn't surprise me.
