I have spent alot of time figuring out how certain parts are correctly assembled and which parts were originally installed. Found an Official GM Assembly Manual for 1982 Blazers and Suburban. While mine is a 1977 (couldn't find this year) this manual is close enough. This shows part numbers for everything (from doors to nuts and bolts), it shows spot welds and their location, it shows mid year assembly corrections and deletions. Unfortunately it doesn't have a real table of contents or index but I've been mesmerized just randomly looking thru it. It weights about 10lbs and is almost 4" thick.

Where did you find that? Very cool, especially if you were looking for factory correct restoration

Wonder if the guy that did these would be interesting in putting that one up to, if at some point you don't need it for awhile? Paper copy is definitely nice, but it's also nice to have this stuff preserved for the future, and easily accessed.

Seems GM still hold the copyright. I'd love to scan and post but it is massive. Nearly 2,000 pages. These manuals (they have them for many GM vehicles) are hard to come by. Many years are unavailable. 81 is the closest to the 77 manual I want. They have some 60's stuff I think.
