On your question. We used to offer it as an option but I would prefer you took off the cover when changing fluids to look at the gears themselves.

When we made them we simply tapped a hole and used a button head allen 3/8" long bolt with a bonded washer. Very simple to do if you still want one but not always a good idea in the rocks.
