ATTN: Truck Avenger Owners!

Have you changed the jetting? I'm just trying to think of what could be affected by outside temps. Below is a link to a thread about carbs and weather, I copied a post I thought might pertain the most:

For instance, if you run stoch. in the summer the carb may stumble like crazy in the winter due to the air density causing the system to run excessively lean. Likewise, a carb jetted for winter may run excessively rich in summer due to density decrease.

The only other thing that I can think of that would be affected by temp is the choke.

That air density thing might be a big deal for us when you throw in the change in altitude.

I didn't have any problems with the -1 this summer. I only just got the -2 this November.

One other thing that could make difference, I run a 180° thermostat. Carbs tend to like the cooler engine temps.

I have changed out the jets (dont remember to what at the moment) and when I did, I did the math to make sure I was installing the correct jets. I also changed to a 180 degree thermostat, so I'm kind of stumped as to what it could be...

Do you turn the idle up when you are in the mountains? I find that mine drops off a couple hundred once I get to about 8,000ft. So I crank the idle up to where it is at home.

hmm I registered with holley when I bought it wonder if they can pull that up...

Got my new truck avenger in the mail yesterday...
put it ontop of my intake.... looks too clean!!! well matches my intake....

anyhow... realized.. I lost 1 of the nuts to bolt it down with.. no biggie...
then realized I sent my holley back with the throttle linkage nub... DAYUM... they dont give you a new one... oh well...so I had stuff to do so didnt put it on...

I am busy tonight too.. but going to try and do a few things...
goto napa on my way home and get the throttle linkage nub and a nut.... finally gonna buy some NUTS!!!!!

then maybe hook the carb up when I get home.... still need to do an oil change and fill radiator.... then fire her up and adjust it....we will see...

most likely I wont get to most of it till friday night (rain or shine)...so I will be ready to go out to test out the motor mods.. so most likely not this weekend but next weekend I will be buggin to go out....
