Ok guys so while out wheeling on quads today, I buried my Foreman 450 in a creek bed. Water up to the front headlights and to the back rack. After a 1/4 mile walk to my buddys house to get him and his Rincon I got out.

I want to dump the diff fluids, and motor oil, also tranny fluid. Im not sure where the breathers are on it.

Only problem I run into is I dont have an Owners manual or maintence book so I dont know the fluids needed or capacitys. Anyone else have a Foreman or at least a similar Honda and could share some info?

I have a service manual for those quads, I'll get it from the shop after school tomorrow and post up

The breathers are found on the rear diff housing, rear drum brake housing, engine, front diff housing and both front brakes.

Check to make sure you don't have any water in any of the drum housings, and check to make sure that your bearings are not full of mud.

Both diffs use regular old 80w90, and the engine / transmission share the same specialty 4 stroke motorcycle oil.

Ok cool thanks man. Ill have to take a close look at my brakes. The rear needs adjusted badly anyway. My left brake handle barely stops it at all. And I think the cable for my foot brake is fubared cuz its real hard to push down.

It is more likely the eccentric lobe that is stiff. The seals on them go bad, and they corrode something horrible due to having a steel shaft in an aluminum bore. I had to hone my drum housing with a brake cylinder hone to get it to fit properly, at which point suddenly my brakes started working properly again

I really need to get an Owners and Repair manual for this thing lol.
