I have a sony head unit, sony cd changer in the center counsel, 6 1/2 seperates in the front doors, 5 1/4 in the rear doors, and i built a custom box that holds two 12 mtx in the spare tire well built a cover that looks like the original cover so you can't tell that there are subs in the rear plus you don't lose the cargo space.

[/ QUOTE ]I'm not frustrated one bit, I'm just having fun with this. I find it amuceing too fued/argue/debate these mean nothing thangs. It's all in fun. In all honesty, JL's are great for street beats. I think they sound very good, and the price isn't outrageous. I just have fun when y'all claim they can't be beat because we all know everything can be beat with each years new products from so many makers out there.

[/ QUOTE ]Forget it, He is deadset and serious that teo and floormats are the best. JL IS without a doubt the best out there as far as money vs. performance. They can be beaten but by companies that spend all of their time on all that competition bullsh!t that costs 10X what it's worth IMHO.

[/ QUOTE ] And just how much $$ are you talking for the JL's ??? Because the Treo 12.22 (dual voice coils) SSI's (Street Series Improved) are very resonally priced. Right around $200.00 each depending where you get them from. SSi's Now the CSX's are some high dollor subs. I personally like the SSX's. They cost alittle more then the SSi's, but I've always been the type too pay alittle more for the higher quality products. I'm not satisfied with what everybody and thier brother has.

I only paid $120 per sub for my 10w3v2's.

To compare it would be more like my 3 10's for $360 vs. three treo 12's which would be $600 or say $500 for 3 10's.

I paid $240 for 2 of my three 10's vs. $400 for the 2 treo 12's.

just thought i'd throw my 2 cents into this thread.

i'd get rid of the factory dash speakers, and get some infinity kappa components. i've got kickpanel enclosures for the components, they work great. get a quality 4 channel and run components and the 6x9's off of, or a 5 channel amp to simplify things.

my buddy did this when he sold his truck, took out the 2 channel and 4 channel setup(rockford) and put in a 5 channel, i think it was lightning audio??, and he said it sounded just as good or better than the two amp setup.

get a box for behind the back seat. i'd recommend 2 12" in a sealed box. just make sure the box is designed for the subs and your amp is a good match to them as well

as for this whole JL is king stuff. i've heard JLs before, wasnt too impressed. they sounded good and all, but didnt blow my doors off. my other friend that has audiobahns (similar setup) was waay better. just my opinion.
