to help break the ice....
i've been involved in car audio in one way or another for about 20 years. i don't know everything and i've probably forgotten more than i remember. i've played with many brands and have done more product research than i could list.
i am still involved in audio on the side at times. while i can and am known for building nasty ground pounders, SQ is my gig. so the times i am able to cruise by, i'll chime in where i can. and the saying goes... bung holes and opinions, everybody's got their own. but i do realize that my opinion is just an opinion, equal to everyone else's opinion. and i'm not going to flame war over an opinion like seems to be common from a lot of the hard core audio guys (in general- no reference to this forum). so have no worries there.
i haven't started the work on my 82 blazer yet, so i don't have anything to show there. for a heads up and example of what it will entail, i had some midwoofers custom made for me by an uber high end european build house to match up to some uber high end tweeters i am personally building by hand. yes, fabbing my own parts and not assembling parts from a chinese subway sandwich style speaker parts supplier.
here is an example of some of my work. fitting for this site, this i did for a guy with a 95 blazer...
