So, the blazer got a bit wet yesterday, and water got in the transmission, and transfer case.

This is my first 4x4, so please forgive my ignorance.

The transfer case runs on automatic transmission fluid? Does it share fluid with the tranny? or do i need to fill the transfer case separately?

Does anyone know how many qts the transfer car takes?

I use dexron 6, is that right?

$6 a qt is killer!!

You have to fill the t-case seperately. Dexron 6 isn't necessary unless you really want the syn-blend fluid. That's what I use in my Allison. You can run Dex III or IV or whatever's current these days.

Thanks buddy. I returned that $6.56 per qt, dexcon 6, and bought dexcon 3 for $3.49.

sweetk30, in that link you posted, im pretty sure you said the np208 takes 2 qts of atf? i put 5 qts in mine, about 1/2'' below the top filler plug with the case cold, just like my 1986 GM service manual recomended.
