I have a set of sport comp 2's and they are all reading low. I have moved the ground are from the parking brake bracket to the battery to the engine same readings.

The water temp is 50 degrees low, the volt gauge reads 12 and the oil psi reads between 0 and 20.

Check the voltage that the gauges are receiving. If the power is too low, they will read incorrectly.

I used a fuse tap off the fuse block from the factory gauge spot.

I need more tools to get a exact volt reading.

You using the Autometer senders too ?..or stock GM ones ?...they may not be compatible with OEM ones..

I have a classic dash harness, and it is using the autometer ls conversion adapters and senders

my water temp is about 20 degrees too low, but volts and oil press seem right. The other ones I can't verify as my PCM isn't telling me trans temp or oil temp. I don't think I used conversion adapters, I just used the senders that were appropriate for the motor. Am I reading it correctly that you used different senders?

They are autometer senders. I checked and I have 12v going to the gauges, if I get the voltage from the sender it read

6.3 at the water temp
7.3 at the oil psi
12.3 at the volt gauge while at a 650 idle.

don't you love all these little things you gotta chase down. Ha Ha. This is my life for the past month

I am sort of late here, but it seems to me that you are low on voltage in the cab. I would expect to see over 13 volts while the charging system is working. That would give some lee-way for voltage drop getting into the cab through the factory fuse block and connections. I like to see 14 or so at the alternator, then it may possibly drop down from there.
I would start checking volts throughout the system. My old '72 K5 shows 14.4 in the cab all the time. (Digital volt meter.)y '90 K5 shows 13.5. Both have identical iceberg CS130 alternators.
