I know many are aware of the service Autozone offers free on line for repair tips on the C, K & Burbs. But thought I would throw this into the mix for those that don't. For example I selected 85 Jimmy, and got the Repair Guide for GM Full-Size Trucks 1980-1987 Repair Information. Far from complete, it is still some good basic information.

If one should desire online access to the complete factory service manual for a particular vehicle, it is $24.95 a year & $14.95 for each additional vehicle.

I like this :

Model 208

1.

Put transfer case lever in 4HI position.
2.

Push lower shifter lever forward to 4HI stop.
3.

Install rod swivel in shift lever hole.
4.

Hang 0.20 thick gauge cover rod behind swivel.
5.

Run rear rod nut "A" against gauge with shifter against 4HI stop.
6.

Remove gauge and push swivel rearward against nut "A".
7.

Run front rod nut "B" against swivel and tighten.
