I've been getting ready to do the whole brake system on my blazer, and i was ready to go except for some custom s/s DOT approved lines. My first idea was to go through blackwidowperformance.com, but i haven't heard anything about them recently, and i wasnt sure if they re-opened. So i went out surfing the web and found out about this company called G&J Aircraft and Competition, located in ontario, CA..(909)986-6534.. so i called them up i told them what i was looking for, which were five lines, two 38" long lines up front, two 10" lines for the rear disc, and another rear line with a "t" fitting 31" long, all for a little under 130 shipped. They also said the would build them and send them out as soon as i got off the phone. Well two days later i received these:

there are two lines not in the picture, but you get the idea, and this pic really dont do these lines any justice. They seem to be top notch, and the company was real easy to work with. Anyways, i thought i would pass this along to you guys if you are ever in the market for a custom set of lines that are DOT approved and not to harsh on the wallet.

Another option is Summit or Jegs using -3 AN fittings.
$19.76 for two 12" line. Summit link
$14.25 for 32" line. Summit link
$29.50 for two 36" lines. Summit link
$29.56 for four 10mm bango fittings. Summit link
$18.76 for four banjo bolts. Summit link
$15.95 for two 3/8-24 fittings. Summit link
$18.39 for Tee fitting with 3/8-24 fittings. Summit link

I think thats pretty close to what you got, isnt it?

This is a little more expensive, but Its much easier to change the length of the line when you decide to change your lift height or swap an axle, or rip a line off. Just replace what has changed and not the whole thing.

I'm guessing this is for the truck in your sig?
I have a 78 k5 with a dana 60 / dana 70 with discs and I need all the same hoses, front, rear ( 5 total )

Think i can send them an email and ask for the same exact thing and it will fit (same fittings???)

Great info! I'm getting ready to do a 3/4 ton conversion on the front and disk conversion for my 14FF in the rear.

yep, these are the lines for the truck in my sig. When i called i just told them the length i wanted (38") and a 3/16" I.F. at the frame, and a 10 mm banjo (this is the front line with a dana 60/ corp 10 banjo size), The rear long line was a 1/4" I.F. fitting at the frame with a 3/16" t-out.. and the short rears were 3/16" I.F. at the axle end, and 7/16 banjo (I'm running 77' calipers and this banjo is for the older, pre 78 or 79 chevy 3/4 ton calipers).. just make sure you know what year calipers you run in the rear.. and if i'm wrong on the years, hopefully someone will chime in on the correct years. hth

can they make any length? they look good, i might have to get a set for my other truck

Can someone confirm the difference in the two calipers... one being 10 mil and the other 7/16 ths...

I dont want to order the wrong stuff...

Edit -
i just re-read your post's...
I still need to buy calipers... So if I get yoru line setup ordered, and go order 77 caliper's i'll be fine... (for the rear)

Anyone know the hardline size's on a dana 70 rear axle? I didnt look.. i know it took a 7/16ths wrench to remove the hardline from the old backing plate...? it's from a 82 chev...

Thanks for posting this, one of my pro-comp lines broke the other day. Pretty easily too

Thats how i'm doing it. I've also looked everywhere and people seem to say that chevy changed to a 10mm banjo after 78, so if you order 77' calipers, then you should be alrite with the 7/16" banjo. as for the hardlines on the 70, if you have a brakeline bender, you could go spend 10-15 bucks on a couple long hard lines with 3/16" fittings and bend them up.. that is what i'm doing, and i'll post up this weekend after its all done so you can get a better idea of what i'm talkin about.. hth

how can i measure my fittings i have now so i only have to order once?
Basically how do i knwo if the harlines are 7/16ths or 10 mil etc...

Offroaddesign is now doing custom lines. They are up on the website. Ive got some in the mail and will post some pics when they come.

What i did was go down to the local parts store, (napa, car quest, etc..) and i grabbed an assortment of union fittings, (3/16", 1/4" etc..), which cost me about 3 bucks, and then i went and did a test fit with them and once i knew i had the right size fitting for the hard line, i told G&J that i needed a 3/16" at the frame for the front lines, and a 1/4" at the frame for the long rear. the 7/16" and 10mm are the banjo bolt size fittings which tie into the calipers..

I came across there's right before i ordered mine, and that helped me clarify what fittings i needed to fit my application. The only reason i didnt order from ORD was the price.. they would have ended up costing me somewhere around 200 dollars for the 5 lines, and when i got my lines in yesterday, they seemed to look like the same lines and fittings pictured on ORD's website, just a little less in price and a little longer in length..

Seems like you made out pretty good. I think I`d like to have the main line that runs down the frame to the rear "T" fitting that material as well. Would it be worth it to do that, or would regular hard stainless be better? Either way, I`m wanting to replace all my lines, so thanks for the info!
