axel swap

HI, I am swapping in a 76 dana 44 and 14 bolt rear into my 89 blazer. I need new brake lines for the rear axel. Where might i find some?? Also I am looking for a 2-4 degree shim for the Dana 44.

The brake line should work unless your original is damaged or too short. But you can get replacements at Napa or any other place like that. If you want Stainless Steel Summit sells a set of 3 SS hoses (2 front 1 rear) for a 4-6" lift for $89. I went with these and they work great.

If you are talking about hard lines just go to any parts store and get it. You will have to bend them which is easy. Most parts stores have an el cheapo bender for a couple bucks. I don't see why you need a shim for the Dana 44 unless you have alot of lift. The rear axle is usually what needs shimmed. Also the Dana 44 caliper uses a different brake line then your 10 bolt.

I am looking for the hard lines. I have a 6" lift. I had Skyjacker braided stainless steel extended hoses going to the 10bolt calipers... these hoses wont work with the Dana44????

If you look at my pics I think my rear brake lines show a little. I bent them and put them on in about 15 minutes under the truck. As far as I know the front lines will not work but I think your calipers on the 10 bolt will fit the Dana 44.
