this reminds me of the first few times I wheeled with my new lockers. after wheelin open for so long it was a huge change in the trucks capability. I thought nothing could stop it and for the most part nothing locally could but Ill tell you a secret: its a little hard to get traction when your upside down.:haha:

perty truck by the way. looks like mine did when I first bought it and lifted it. now it looks like a crumpled up tin can.
 
how long have you had your truck primered? I primered mine a year ago and now it is rusting through!!!!!! this summer I got to get her painted!!! :doah:

I second that. Like driving a completley different vehicle. Just hard to learn not to nail the gas on everything.:doah:

It may be wrong but I saw on tv the other day that primer is very porus (to allow paint to stick well) and it actually allows water to soak in creating a rust problem. I havent primered my truck so I dont know first hand....just seems like a likely problem. Its good to hear your not rusting though.:D

nope no rust yet , but i think its the fact that it hardly ever rains or snows down here in the desert and when it does the scorching sun takes care of that

heres a couple of it after I rolled it. dont have any of it on the computer from when I got it. it was a long bed half ton but in these pics its a short bed 3/4 ton.





there was a lot more damage in the few months after this cause I didnt care anymore. eventually though it got to where it was unsafe to drive and very unreliable so Ive now got a 78 shortbed that Im gonna build up to look like this one did just before I rolled it and then Im gonna turn this one into a tube buggy.
 
I know I feel terrible about trashing that truck. It looked exactly like yours did at one time. except for the front clip. then we shortened it, then I went 3/4 ton, then swapped in an sm465, then lockers then the next thing I know its upside down. I thought the half windshield sucked, then I took it all the way out and drove it 2 miles home at about 25-30 and had tears streaming down my face. Im determined to keep the new one in decent shape. especially since now Ill have a good dd plus a hardcore trail rig to trash.
