Axle Swap Woes... Tie rod...

Ok, so I got the D44 and 14BFF out of an early 3/4 ton, but the tie rod was bent... I figured, no prob, I'll just swap it for the one in the Blazer. No go, it hits the springs /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif.

I called the local parts monkeys and they have NO idea what I am talking about. Am I using the right term? Tie rod, it goes from one knuckle to the other. Ties the 2 knuckles together? No wrecking yards have one either... Now what?

add a zero rate tot he front you need to pick up the ends and rod off a 1st design 44. my 72 had the stepped down ends but i went with the zero rate and my 89 tie rod.
