axle u joint cover?? need help pic

Hey all im in the middle of attempting to change the u joints. The axle is a 8lug 10 bolt. I have the c- clips out but how do I get the covers off? Is it part of the cap for the u-joint?

What you are calling a "cover" is the actual u-joint cap. You need to get yourself a u-joint/ball joint tool to do it properly or beat the crap out of it to get it apart.
