OK, the traction bars are pretty close, that was covered in another post just recently, like in the last few days.
There is no substitute for keeping the shocks outboard. If they're inboard, you can make them stiff enough to control roll but then they'll ride rough. Running them outboard lets you get the best mix of bump control and roll control. It really is a big deal in how the truck handles. You can probably get a long enough shock in a location close to the factory setup, measure it up and see what you can fit in there. If you can fit a 12-14" shock in the stock location, or close to it, you're done.
Flex with the traction bars comes down to length and angle of the bars and the length of the springs. The setups we've done so far had minimal effect on the suspension. One setup we measured out here with the forklift lost less than an inch from the "no-bar" configuration. This is measuring how far we could pick the front tire up before another left the ground, we were getting 40-45" up with and without the bars.

At this point we have everything but the guys to build the parts (vacations and motorcycle wrecks you know).

I take it there is no shackle at the front of these or they would not work. The heims are enough to avoid the bind?

No heims present on these puppies.

Bushings? You've managed to work their arcs of travel with the leaf springs sufficiently to not have suspension bind without the use of heim joints?

Yes using some super high end custom made and specially hardend areo space engineered unobtainium reiforced carbon fiber by products.

Sorry had to do that.

The bars work quite well using a propriatary bushing assembly at both ends. They do get some bind in them but it seems to be at the very limits of the travel so they don't really hurt travel that much if any.

Cool. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

That's what I wanted to hear.

I've heard good things about that stuff /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

It is cool stuff, we're trying to work it into more locations since it has anti-gravity properties and I think if we get enough under the truck, it will reduce the weight enough to make our pigs wheel like 2500# rock buggies. An entire frame built from this stuff would probably just let the truck levitate over the hard parts of the trail.

And when you use it for your gas tank skid plate, it doubles your fuel milage automatically.

Will that work on diesels too? /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Well, it works best on a 6.2L, with that motor you get up to 3 times the milage increase. With ferds and didges, they get the same milage as before.

With a turbo on a 6.2L, you actually have to stop at gas stations periodically to empty your tank because they seem to make fuel over time. Luckily they typically have a 30-40 gallon tank so you don't have to stop too often.

Update?

I need a set of these for driving in the sand...too much torque hits the ground in my 498....wheel shake and axle wrap is a HUGE problem...
I wonder if Rancho kickers could be made to fit my C3500...I think the diff setup is the same for the C2500 14bff and the K2500.
Anyone make a dual rear shock setup that works? Wash boards and 35 mph used to be fun in my old 1/2 ton Sub.... /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif
