axles off of a 92 2500? 8-lug? what's going on?

axles off of a 92 2500? 8-lug? what\'s going on?

I saw an ad today for a chevy 2500 1992. It said the axles are 8 lug. Is that 3/4 ton? 1 ton? I will look this weekend at it. I am pretty sure it still is factory axles. what do you think?

Its an IFS truck. The rear can be made to work, but the front is IFS.

Its a 3/4 ton. If it has a 350 its a semifloating 14 bolt. If its a big block or diesel its a Full float 14 bolt.

thanks!, what about axles from a 85 one ton van? those will fit right?

If a '92 is 8 lug it is a full floater. Semi-floaters in that body style are 6 lug.

That body style has both 6 & 8 lug SF14Bs.
