Hey guys,

It has been reported that it doesn't fit a mid 80's frame quite right.

Some of you guys I have spoken with already and we're good. Just dropping this out there to those I cannot reach or haven't heard back from.

If your putting a B52 on a 81???-87??? please email me!

I will be working this problem with Stomper this weekend and rectifying the situation.

Right now we are compiling a list of kits that were sold for these years of vehicles. What we will do is design a new kit and send it out to those who want replacements with a return label enclosed for the other bracket set.

Just want to get ahead of this one and let you all know you WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF!

OK, talk at ya later.

Kert

I think I was the first to bring this to Kerts attention.

His first concern was about my truck being down.
I explained its a project no big rush.
He told me he would get right on it & get me a replacement set pdq.

Great products & Great CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I will be a repeat customer.

Thanks again Kert

Hey, I knew about this!
Kert is the best! Good stuff, good prices, and a helluva guy.

Mine are for an 87 frame although I'm not sure if I actually said that out loud. I was planning on installing them this weekend, if it's something simple I don't mind using them to save you work. If you don't mind pm/post the issue and I'll let you know if I need to swap.

Btw, I'm in no big hurry if we do need to swap - installing them this weekend was simply a matter of nothing else to do. :D

Im a proud owner of a B-52 kit. Look for a writeup soon that addresses these and any other concerns. Hats off to Kert at DIY4x.com

Ive got an 85... good thing this is being taken care of before I ordered! ;) If you need any frame measurements or anything, lemme know... my caliper is at the ready!

For me it all goes hand in hand. Good products aint worth didly if you can't get the service. Good service aint worth didly if you can't get good products and so on.

That and i just feel guilty as hell if someone doesn't get what they expect!

My blazer was one of the many that was being looked at one night during a loooong conversation between Leper and j20m715 one night. Between Mattk's 79, my 83, Lepers daughters 87, and Lepers 91...the mount seemed to vary alot depending on years. From 1/8" to more gap between the top of the mount and the top of the frame. Very odd. But very glad to see that it is being worked out. Im very happy with Kerts willingness to help and his awesome parts, although i have not purchased from him i have seen what Leper and his son have purchased and can say 2 things. 1. WOW 2. Im a future buyer of his product.

if its just the body mount thats varying a little, i can deal with it...

BTW, i ordered my b52s monday, almost 2 weeks ago, and they still haven't shown up...

OK, got the redesign done last night thanks to Stomper and the use of one of his many rides.

Major thanks to Stomper!

I will start fabbing some of the replacements today and hopefully will be shipping a few sets by Tuesday.

So if you bought a set and needed them for an 81-87 let me know.

Even if you think your already on the list pm me or email me again to be sure!

Need the name it was ordered under originally.

Thanks all for being patient and understanding.

Kert

I was planning on ordering a B-52 kit along with a inboarding shock kit as soon as possible. Will there be a delay in turn around time while you resend out the other guys kits? I would also need a 81-87 set. Thanks:waytogo:

We were informed of the problem just as yours were about to ship so I'm still sitting on yours. You'll get the right ones first time out. Tracy has emailed you a few times but haven't gotten any responses.

Do we know that all 81-87 need a different one? Does it apply to both blazer/truck/burb? Want to make sure for future reference when i order them.

When I was looking at your truck I was talking to Ray about this issue. lol

PM box is full, so here we go.

How much for a inboard kit and a B-52 kit shipped to 80831? I would need a B-52 kit for an 84 K5 also. Thanks,:waytogo:
