I have decided that when I purchase products that you guys make it will be from you. It's nice to know that somebody will be proactive after the cash is in hand and not just to get the cash.:waytogo:

X 2 !!!

I have seen your B52's that NVRENUF has and they look real nice . I am impressed with your willingness to get the brackets right as they should be instead of just letting it go as close enough.
I will order from you because of service after the sale which will always lead to future sales in my book.

Hey guys. Any updates! Two people have reported an issue. Just wanting to hear back from yall if you've had a chance to try them on. I have frame rails from an 85 sitting in the shop now so all have been test fitted for the last while.

Hey Kert

I have installed the replacement ones you sent me.
They did not bolt up, all 6 holes are off also.
The body mount is better though.
I just went ahead & drilled them & installed them.
Just an FYI the backing plates for the bolts dont match the newer mounts.
To move the brackets forward you would have to redrill new holes in your brackets.

The frame these are installed on is an 83 blazer.

I am disapointed these arent a direct bolt on but I do understand that with parts of his nature it may take alittle work.

I do respect Kert in trying to make this right.

Overall I am happy with his products & customer service.

I will be a repeat customer.

Thanks again
Ray

Ray,

Thanks for the reply. I haven't heard back from anybody else yet so just wondering if others were having problems as well. Found out about the backing strip deal yesterday.

This product has been difficult.

I'd imagine others are having difficulties as well but haven't heard anything back or seen the older style brackets either.

To be clear though I am talking to a few people so not everybody.

Hey Kert, just checking in...

How's the '87+ stuff going?

For sure 80 / 81 are different. The 81+ brackets I got didn't work so Kert was getting some later model frame horns to check for differences (my frame is an 87).

so im hearing that i will have problems installing my second b52 set? that kinda bites but oh well i guess.

kurt, have you figured out the frame issues? mine is an 85. the second set i got from you had the body mounts as the only real difference. and i think the backing plates were wrong too.

Yep, you'll have problems. PM me your phone number or call me at the shop sometime this weekend and we'll get it straight. All the problems have been corrected. Simple mistakes that make a big difference when bolting it on.

Like I said in the original post Everybody will be taken care of.

not a member, so i cant PM you, but i will shoot you another email.

I don't think the bolt pattern would be the same. So for now I'll have to say No, they won't work, not until somebody brings me thier first gen to play with!!!! Hint Hint!:wink1:

Unfortunately nothing as of yet to set it up on.

And again, if you weren't in Iowa..... although it would give me a reason to take some time off....but with gas $3.37 on base today!!!! YOW! I have a 42 gallon tank! Cost me $137.00 to fill up today!

How does it not fit quite right? I installed mine last night and the passenger seemed to go on OK, the holes were just a smidge off but I could still get everything bolted up but the driver side was quite a bit off. I had to drill out the six holes on the side of the frame but the two on the bottom fit fine. My truck is supposed to be a 1978 but who knows what the frame is off of.

This kit is awesome and well put together. I had no problem drilling the holes as it was no big deal, I am just curious if my frame is a later model frame. Not trying to bust anyones balls.
