Deano, does the blue blazer drive or is it focked up too? I totally understand the money thing and all but why can't the drivetrain just be swapped in to make it wheelable and then slowly add upgraded parts as we all do? We want you back in your rig as your current wheeling rigs "engine" may have a catastrophic failure while hiking.............errrrrrrr..............wheeling around the trails because of its current conditions is not in all that great of condition.:D The way I see it is that your current rig has swollen axles, worn meats but luckily several spare tires, a bad engine, hair on its grill, difficulty breathing on steep ascents, faulty timing, "rust" from old age, but at least always has a full tank of gas.:wink1:

you are the biggest Dik in the world:haha::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Jeez Hoby, I though maybe you'd mention how it's a bad idea to wheel a classic like Dean's current rig. He better watch out for rockrash, since it's gotten hard to find body parts for a model that old.

Not to mention that Dean's "engine" is a stroker, just not the good type of stroker.:eek1:;)

Finally Dean. Good God man, now was it really that hard. Are the springs, steering, and everything bolted up or what? Thing looks like a beast. How much more of the drivetrain has to go in? More pics of chit please.:waytogo::waytogo:

Glad to see you've made some progress on the "gravity racer" there Dean.:D What engine are you gonna put in that thing anyway?

Thing looks like a beast. :waytogo::waytogo:

Yeah I think its a little taller than I wanted it to be. its on 6" but not sure if I like it that high. I might go 4" maybe with a zero rate to move the front and still be just under this height. Plus the 38's make it look huge. there is also no motor or trans or seats or any weight inside, its all striped so maybe it will come down a bit:dunno:

The Baby Blue Bomber looks wicked, Dean.:waytogo: Looks like you still have some saw work ahead, too.:hack: Personally. I'm just glad to see progress toward putting you back on wheels.

Dean just to give you my opinion if you want to hear it here it goes. If I would do it all over again I would do a 4" lift. The 6" lift I think is too tall and tipsy on certain situations or it just feels like it. I would do 4" with fender trimming to fit the 37's.

ALthough I have thought about going to 42's. it's all about what you plan to run.

hey hey now.. im only running 5' lift and a one body.. I agree it is a bit high and i want to lower it an inch or 2 maybe, trying to play around with different set ups.(I.E. the rear shakle flip diy 6 inch shackle change to ord 7 inch shackle) I think the tires make it so high and the way the fenders are cut give it the apperance of a higher stance. mesure you're axle to frame height in front and ill do the same also mesure the flat fram to ground clearance.
