thanks :D There are a few things I want to do. I am going to make a list of what I want to do. But it ran great, and I was very happy at how well it handled the trail.

So a few things on the trail made me think of next moves. This is not in order but here they are. The steering needs to be better. Im thinking crossover but its hard to spend money on a d44 when I know I will be going to a 60 in the future. Lockers, at least in the rear. I have an open carrier I guess I would just need to get a locker and set up the gears. Rockers. They got hit 2 times that I thought for sure I had bad damage. Just a little dent. I want to cut them out and do the sliders before I mess them up and the door wont work. In board shocks and ford towers in front. The rear shock was acting as the limiting strap:doah: this is what happened to Noah http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2210274/8 . Front and rear bumpers and a winch. Its a tall list but one step at a time. :D
oh and a stereo :haha:

I think you are spot on with your needs. BBB did great but some lockers would have really helped in a few places.

So I want some kind of lockable storage in the back of the K5. I saw Hobys box, who hasnt :p: and went looking for something like his. This what I found, it is 37x21x20. Once I got it in I thought about the rear seats in it and ice chest and there is not enough room. They have another that is 35x14x13. I think I might get that one instead. What ideas do you lads have. :deal:

Ok just went and got the smaller one, I think it will work better. The bummer is how much wasted space there is with the way the cage is made. I have a lot of improvements for the new one. :D

Dean I'm glad you did what you did. I love step sides but your rig came out VERY nice. Im not saying it in a GAY way but in a tight wrangler, tight shirt kind of way. :D

Why not just cut out those rear tubes (cross tube and two angled tubes) and cut new tube that allows for more room back there and weld it in.

chicken said the same thing. The problem is I just looked in the garage and my tube bender and welder are missing :doah: I just have to run it down to your house Rob for some jungle gym action:whistle::smirk::deal::weld::grind::hack:

When this 7 day a week, 3rd shift thing is over, OT is suposed to slow way down (hopefully). If I actually get some free time, and some weekends off maybe we can work something out and get a couple of pieces cut out and new tube welded in. Don't have time to re-do an entire cage but a few tubes is no big deal. It's going to be atleast another month and a half on this schedule though.

If you have an open space available Dean,
Why not make a smaller toolbox fit up underneath the floorboard ?
I cut a hole in the floor behind the passenger seat cut the top off a Craftsmen toolbox, flanged it with some light gauge angle and welded.
Then that piece of floor board hinged it back to the floor.
And kept it shut with a p.o. box lock i got from Home Depot.
Holds the tools out of the way.
