We made it there and back, here's a brief rundown of the trip for us:
come to work thursday july 7 on a few hours of sleep
leave for Missouri on Monday after sleeping 5 hours since thursday morning
Arrive at Outlaw offroad park 5 am tuesday morning, wake up at 7 and go wheeling for the day.
Wed, road trip to Clayton OK
Thursday, wheel in Clayton
Friday, road trip to Poteau (finally take a shower at the Days Inn, Yahoo!)
Sat, wheel on Cavanal Hill, eat victory dinner
Sun, drive home, with a stop in mcpherson KS to change the alternator on the F350.
Mon, arrive in Carbondale at 2:30 am, go home to sleep a few hours and head back to the shop.
Wally did great, we scratched some paint and had to tighten up the power steering belt, otherwise a flawless run. It did spring an oil pan leak too. Still nothing major.
The UK10 was pretty impressive, it got a good bit of body damage but mechanically it worked well. Actually every panel on the truck was pushed around, but it kept going, doing some things that seemed pretty amazing for an old chevy truck.
Here's a couple of Wally pics, one from the trailer ride and one on the trail:
I have a couple of the UK10 that I'll have to post up later, I'm out of time for now.
