From the looks of it. It appears the PO didn’t torque the flex plate properly as it showed some wear movement near the crack. Possibly didn’t torque all the bolts to the same spec and in sequence. Pretty likely as he half assed everything else too hahaCongratulations, am glad there crack showed itself, was concerned the front pump and torque converter might have been damaged from loose trans
Not bad!Well I made an impulse buy. These 2021 Tacoma nerf bars came on the market place and I thought. Ya know I could cut those down and be in it less money than the metal would cost me. Didn’t get any pics before I cut them but it was two steps for a quad cab.

I am assuming no rock crawling for you, these things will not survive but a step they are great
Some hitch pins would be slick. The ones I made are kinda sorta retractable. I attached them to the frame with a long piece of angle iron with two outriggers welded to it that stick out of the body maybe 10 inches or so. Attached to the top for a "step" is a traction matt. To keep the entire step from flexing down I attached some chain at either end to step the downward progress as you step on it. Top part of chain attaches to the floor pan, the other end attaches to the step itself. Traction matts are attached with bolts and wingnuts.
