Back In the Saddle Again

Alright. I’m ready to pull the Transfer case out. After finishing my house and getting rid of all construction debris here we are:

built a couple work tables. Organized all my tools. LFG!

this is basically the state my shop was in since I moved in. Disgraceful.

But I got to work on it.

So are you doing all of the electronic work in the basement?

I was getting so frustrated trying to work on the vehicles with no surfaces to put stuff on. Drove me insane.

Haven’t found my shop to be a clean enough space to do that yet
I’m going to build a dust system to eliminate the dust. But I am going to be building my own guitar cabinets and fabricating my amp chassis out here as well until I build a much bigger vehicle only shop in the back yard.

That sounds awesome! I really like the idea of separate areas like that.
I would, like to have one shop for dusty work, one for oily/ greasy work and one for storage.
Your other fabrication stuff should be cool!

I have a feeling this guy was running gear oil in the Transfer case instead of ATF

It's because there was enough release of back pressure before it got to the muffler!

Yep, he was running gear oil in it. Which would have been fine of course. However I topped it off with ATF. Luckily It didn’t move that way.
