4 spd, a sm465? I have 1 of those mated to a np205.
I had sm465 4.1 and 33's on one burb worked well.
If you go 35 min with a manual would 4.1 I'd even consider 4.56

I had 4.88 with my last one on 37’s and the top speed was 55mph
I have 4.88 with 33 atm top speed is better than 85. Overdrive
I mean I was pushing 3k rpms at 55mph with 4.88’s and 37” tires. It could go a lot faster but not for distance.
I pull 3rd towing on hills 3200 to 3800. Engine makes great power there even get to back out of the throttle from matted in 4th
Also, I’m talking about the gearing with the SM465
I’m partial to manual transmissions. I hate automatics.

Yeah I liked mine. High gear is 1 to 1 on th350 or sm465 only diff is locked compared to torque converter. Converter will carry a few more rpm
