Back In the Saddle Again

I’d run one if I wasn’t a tightwad
I kept saying that then one day, @Capt Ron had a good enough deal and I was in the neighborhood so I picked it up.
It's going on 6 years now I think, maybe more.
Sitting in my garage next to 3 sm465 32 splines, waiting for It's turn

Getting the lock ring off the end of the 208 shaft. My snap ring pliers weren’t strong enough so i ordered heavy duty lock ring pliers. They will be here tomorrow. Got everything perfectly clean and waiting on those pliers. Should go together pretty quick once I get them pliers!

My preference is the ‘96 and later version so you can use the stock bell housing for the integral release bearing/slave. No advance adapter bell housing and overpriced brackets to run the stock squarebody slave.

The integrated slave works with the stock squarebody cutch master with the right adapter and an hose.

So what year NV4500 am I looking for?
Depending on what you want.
Early years had lower first gear.
Later years were improved.
If want the best of all there is an outfit in Los Angeles that can build one to your spec and not too expensive.

Sure thing, I understand completely, but if you need something to get it done now, feel free to ask

If you had a car port or something, I think 2 summers in the sun will be hard on it.

You think a softtopper would make a couple seasons outside here until I get a shop built?
I’ve had mine since 2018. It has never seen shade of any kind, and I haven’t been very nice to it as far as cleaning/conditioning. It is still holding up, but I have noticed some threads starting to deteriorate.

Where you located Eddie? The sun here is pretty brutal in the Mojave

Fastereddie, I see you’re in Henderson, sorry. Right on that’s basically the same place. Now just to decide the color. I’m very happy that my wife misses my old blazer and she doesn’t care what I spend on the new one right now. So I’m trying to put a list together of the things I absolutely need on it.
