Back In the Saddle Again

Inspect the run out on the rotor. Squish the out board pad tabs, before installing on caliper. Get the tab tight enough you can hardly fit them on the caliper.
Test fit the in board on the caliper hanger. Should be smooth side in, no up and down.

When are you 8- lugging the front? Cause the mismatched wheels is killing me!
Probably in the middle of the summer because I’m a glutton for punishment. Trying to button a few things up between my house and the shop. Like the emblems and some interior stuff. Nearing the ability to have it out of commission while I wait for my ORD drag link (3-5 weeks). Once I know for sure I don’t need to bring it back and forth that’s when it’s happening.

I always seem to do some major project on mine in the dead of 115 degree heat too!

Ordered mains and rod bearings. Decided on engine tech bearings after speaking with a few builders.

Bout to drop the $ on the cam and install kit. I’m stuck deciding on lifters. I would have to wait a long while to afford the Johnson’s. But I really don’t want any issues. Hmmmmm

I used engine tech parts in my straight six jeep engine. Was very pleased with the tolerances.

Made in the USA and cheaper than OEM. Lots of guys on the LStech forum talk about how king and clevite ended up wiping their cranks. (Bearings too hard). Lots of machine shop owners run the engine tech for price point they can offer customers and the their tolerances.

Endura steel didn’t know the difference between 1sqft and 16sqft of 3/16 plate. I ordered 1 square foot of 3/16 to make the footings for the roll cage. They showed up with this giant 4x4 sheet lol. So now I have some nice 3/16 steel bench tops.

I got to ask, have you decided what cam you are going with? This blazer is sweet.

The double digit IQ workers of LKQ cut the seat belts on my seats when they took them out of the van. I got an even better deal because of it. Honda doesn’t sell this seat belt assembly without the seat. But it’s very easy to get to and I plan on running a universal set up in it. Really couldn’t beat the price for grey leather. $200 for both seats.
