So I'm looking at getting H1 wheels and tires for the time being because the TSLs are just overkill for me right now and they measure pretty short.

After some recent searching I've found that my current 10 bolt 6 lug front axle is 67" WMS. When I switch it to 8 lug it will be 69" WMS to WMS effectively pushing the tires out 1.5in on either side.

I currently have 15x10 wheels with a 4in backspacing. H1s are 16.5x9 with a 7in backspacing. So in order to land my wheels in the same width they are now but with 8 lug hubs I only need to take 1.5in of backspacing out of h1s am I correct?

My concern is that if I have the h1s re-centered its gonna push them out to far with the addition of the 8 lug hubs. Typical re-centering gives you 3.5in of BS on a 16.5x9 wheel.

Long and the short of it is I'm considering running 1.5 or 2in spacers on my axles vs having the h1s re-centered. I think that the 3.5in BS will wind up sticking my wheels out quite a bit which I dont want.

Are u upgrading to 14/60 combo??? I personally wouldn't use a spacer n jus have the wheels offset to match the width I'd want...guess it would also depend if ur upgrading to a d60 front as they r strong enuff so the offset won't hurt it...

Yes I'll be going to a d60 front this spring.

My issue is that I've read flat centers are NG. Pressed centers only offer 3.5in of backspace which with a 9in wide wheel would put me right around the same as I am now. Problem is when I switch it to 8 lug its gonna move my wheels out 1.5in on each side which I'd like to eliminate by setting the back spacing deeper now.

U should b fine using spacers with 14/60 combo...

Yeah but to play devils advocate the spacers are $200 for front and back which is the same cost of having them re-centered...

Idk maybe I'll just take me chances with the flat centers and get the 4.5in BS I need to keep my same track width with the wider dana 60 WMS.

That's what I'm doin with my two sets of wheels...my 15's have 2.5" of bs & my 16's have 4.5"...hopefully it'll workout...
