Where on a 1983 Jimmy 4-speed gearbox does the back-up switch go?

I've got no back-up light switch anywhere so it's not a replacement, it's a first install after swapping out an auto tranny (done before I bought the truck, but the guy forgot about the back-up lights...or didn't care)

No back up switch external of the tranny. (whoops, ok, not attached to the trans. :))

The connector for the back up harness is on the drivers side, top, of the trans towards the front. Hard to see with the wires not hooked up to it, you'll need a flashlight.

It is the little black plug on the cover.
