Front suspension
Custom radius arms/4 link
Cromo heim joints
SAW 2.5" remote-resi coil-overs with engine crossover

Fox 2.5" reservoir shocks on aftermarket shock mounts
Poly bump stops, limit straps

Full DOM cage, tied into the frame, not mounted to the body like most, constructed entirely of .120 wall DOM. 3 suspension seats all with Crow 5-point harnesses, fridge/cargo mount on the right side where a second rear seat would otherwise go. Rear storage area has a removable shelf that splits your stuff up nicely. Rear seat's harness bar is also now removable so the entire cargo area and rear seat can be removed in minutes to sleep in the back on the trail.
A/C blows cold, Heater works amazingly.
Cobra 29 CB with 102" SS whip and external in-cab speaker, running a perfect SWR.
Kenwood stereo with AUX and USB
Pioneer boxed 6x9's that sound GREAT
8" subwoofer and 1000 watt amp.
"racing" steering wheel
Air compressor under passenger seat
Switches wired for LED lights, LED rock lights, air compressor, horn
2 power outlets in cargo area

Driveline
Tru-tracs with 4.11 gears front and rear
Maxi-drive front axles and CVs
Rovertracks rear axles
D2 front driveshaft, U-joint rear
Drilled and slotted rotors front and rear
Motor and tranny run strong, and shift smoothly.
Spare axle shafts

(3) LED bar lights. . . bright..
Custom tube rear bumper with a swing-out spare tire carrier pivoting off of an actual Dana 44 manual-locking hub. . . and yes, the lockout is functional!
Dual batteries in rear of cargo area on a "boat switch" located near driver. 000 battery cable throughout. Optima Red top
Dual Hella horns.

A little over 143k miles

Saw that over on Pirate he traded an old ford prerunner for it. He also has a nice red 69 f250 ford with a flatbed and a cummins.

tranny went out in his f250 so he is selling this to fix it. Sucks because it is a sweet rig. The prerunner he traded for it was sick too

Those land rovers are built like tanks to. Very strong for off road use.
Aluminum body panels. Used the be the Range Rover was the best land rover for 4 wheeling. That has sadly changed and pretty much the discovery is the best for that sort of thing.

What is he asking for that?

7k :eek1:

Wish i had the cash would be an awesome rig.

Actualy the truck he traded for that was a vintage race truck that he built. The build is on Racedezert.

Lame trade :screwy:

I know i said that and posted a pic of it

Saw it out at prairie city a few times.

I would much rather have this rover than the prerunner. At least were i live it is pretty stupid to have a prerunner unless you have a wad of cash to go out to the desert all the time. And then i would rather have a sandrail and do it right.

There is a difference between a race truck and a pre runner.

I'm nit picking :D

Gotcha :haha:

The first time i saw it the wheel came off and went rolling down the track so ya know....

Plus needs more power to be a "race truck" to me. Hell you can put a cage in a stock rig and enter a race class.

The motor aren't all that impressive that is the only downside. They come with stock electric lockers on front and rear. Although if I remember correctly they aren't selectable. You either get them both locked or both unlocked. A buddy of mine has one of these. STill really nice trucks. I've been trying to convince him to fix his up like this. He already wheels it and it does damn good stock.

Discos are nice and all, but I'd still rather have one of the old Series Landies ... right-hand drive, short wheelbase -- what they call the Defender 90 now.

Put on my pith helmet and I could play Marlon Perkins "Mutual Of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" ...

These things are saaawweeeet! I've always heard, however, that they are great offroad, but not very mechanically reliable and parts are VERY expensive. My brother in law has one and blew the transmission after 35,000 miles....and that's going to the office and back, folks.

Standard issue bumper sticker

The parts falling off of this vehicle are of the finest British manufacture.

Oddly, I gather that the quality of Rover Group's (Rover, Jaguar, other?) products was alleged to increase greatly after Ford bought them. Now that they're Indian owned (Tata, is it, really?) I don't know.

I watched the British Top Gear where they went to Bolivia and Jeremy Clarkson summed up the older Land Rovers perfectly. He said it was a brilliant design mucked up by "that'll do". Everything is just "that'll do".
