Bad clunking noise up front

I just bought a 79 blazer 400/T350/203 and towed it 40 miles home, tranny and t-case in neutral. Now it has a bad clunking noise up front. It only happens when the front drive shaft is in. It doesn't matter if the hubs are locked in or not. I pulled the diff cover off and didn't see any metal shavings. Drive shaft looks fine. Any help wood be greatly appreciated.

The first thing I would check is the tranny/t-case mount and the CV joint on the front drive shaft.

The t-case mount doesn't look that good, but the cv joint looks ok.
