bad d60 spindle? pics

when my shaft broke, it seems to have taken out my spindle bearings and ground the bearing race into the spindle it self, its so ground that a little grinding of my own and i can make it flush again for a new bearing to be inserted. Can anyone see anything in these pictures that would make that a bad idea?
and yes it will fit in round, its not nearly out of wack as it may look

Yowsers! Mine got chewed a little right at the back edge, but nothing like that.

Off road only and avoiding water and I think you'll be ok. But the seal rides in that area, and if you can't slick it up pretty darned good, it's going to eat that seal alive. But, I think it could probably be cleaned up enough to mount the bearing since the deeper parts seem mostly ok. If you know someone with a lathe, you might want to get them to clean it up for you. Then you could also weld the worst of the gouges too...
