Not mine but my K5's. Going down the road and had a little civic along side me sizeing up the mud dripping off. So we were at a set of lights and when it turned green I heard the dying cow muffler come to life on the civic so I burried him. But when I turned off my back tires were chirping on the pavement. Locker is engaged and won't disengage. Any ideas before I take it apart?

:doah: well then bombs away. If I take it apart tomarrow and it's gone. The whole rear end is coming out of there. Anyone wanna buy a 12 bolt rear with ticking time bomb? :D

I have the same problem. What is the quickest and easiest way to disable the gov lock without pulling the carrier? Anyone got any pics?

Still no KA-Boom. The neighbour wise guy must of fixed it because I never had a problem with it locking up today. Even did a nice donut to engage it and see if it would blow. Maybe where I was up to my headlights in bog a few days ago the rearend might of swallowed some water and bog. Maybe I should change the fluid atleast. :D

Find some pics of an unbroken gov-lock carrier (good luck lol) and you will see the small components that turn. One piece rotates out and locks into the other. Stop that from happening and it will never lock up again.
