After waiting almost 3 months, my truck finally made it to FL from hawaii!

One minor detail, and I havent had time to look into it since I had to rush off to work as soon as I got the truck parked... It doesn't seem to have any forward gears, and reverse only works in 4low (but not 2low?). I'll have to crawl under it and poke around some tomorrow. Could be low on fluid, I added 2 quarts and it showed on the dipstick, but not by much. We'll see. I drove it 1/2 mile home in reverse in 4low to get it in my parking lot.

all said and done, $2k, but I've incurred about $1000 in other expenses relating to the shipping that's being reimbursed by various parties involved. My brokerage company blew goats, the holding yard in CA released the truck to the wrong trucking company after 2 months... and I lost out on a deposit on the trucking company that was supposed to get it. All in all it was a HUGE mess, but I have the truck now.

might have been easier to drive the thing from hawaii. you'd need a pretty huge snorkel, though.
