Baja 1000 2012 Trip

My buddy and I had the opportunity to head downto Ensenada for the race last week. Had a blast walking through tech inspection the day before. Got up early before the race to watch the bikes take off at 6:30 am, then watched all the trophy trucks and buggies take off. Afterwards we headed to San Felipe chasing all the racers and watched some night time pit action south of San Felipe.

No but I wish I did. I got videos of them at the starting line and on the last corner through town at the creek bed.

I like to see them get big air myself. Nothing like a 6000lb trophy truck soaking up jumps!

I chased for my friends Jeepspeed car. Drove his CUCV chase truck from Vista to Ensenada to La Paz including course miles and back. Something like 2600 miles according to GPS. Good times with little sleep. We finished in 43 hours.



We had to stop at this hamburgesa joint on the way home.

BRIGHT! They are Rigid's. Extremely jealous, I'd love some for theK5, bu I don't gfast enough to justify them. The HID/LED combo on the race car will leave you blind if you try to watch the car come into the pit, lol

I priced out a pair on Amazon for $149+shipping. I'm really tempted to order a pair maybe an early xmas present for me. lol.

More info on this chase truck CUCV. Lift, tires? I like the stance and thinking about painting mine that carc style matte tan paint.
