ball joints

Guess I should leave it and disconnect it from the drag link

Good call. The steering arm can be a pain to get off. It has split cone washers under the arm. There is a trick to removing it though. Make sure to torque the nuts on the steering arm correctly since it sounds like you already removed them.
To remove the drag link, sometimes if you give the steering arm a good whack on the side where the drag link connects it'll come apart.

Cool I just replaced the front drag link that's how this all began. The big can of worms. Thats when I checked the ball joints. Then the axle u joints. The chocolate milk in my diff. Picked this up about 9 month ago and now its time to get it up n going. Was trying to rush thru it, slow down n get done right. Haven't open up the diff yet. New seals at lest. Sounds like you now your $hit. Thanks for you help. Going to get at it but I work a lot too weekends only.

Got the bjs out late yesterday. Had to use the torch on the driverside upper. Want to remove the diff cover today if I get time. Going to check into removing the diff for a cleaning, check bearings and replace seals. Haven't ever done that before so time to learn. Need to know. Want to do up grades in the years to come.
